Everything you need to know when applying for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
We applied for our visas in New Delhi. And it could not have been easier. (The Tajikistan visa is easier!)
A visa is required to enter Uzbekistan before you arrive. Visa costs $50 plus administration fee, roughly $5.
You can only arrive in Uzbekistan without a visa if you have a letter of invitation (LOI) BEFORE you arrive but you have to register once you land. For more on arriving to Uzbekistan without a visa, visit the website of the only hostel in Tashkent who can help with LOI:
The application process is simple:
1) Apply online: E-visa
Easy. Simple. Self explanatory.
2) Submit documents to embassy.
Bring the following documents with you when submitting your application to the Uzbekistan Embassy:
- Printed application form
- One passport photo (normal size)
- Photocopy of passport and Visa if you are applying in a different country to your passport.
- $50 plus admin fee.
In New Delhi we had to physically go to the bank to pay as the embassy did not accept payment but this is standard.
Uzbekistan is opening up more and more, and the application process is simple. Now book up and go this incredible country.
